How do you pronounce H2alO?

H2alO is pronounced halo [hey-loh] the 2 is silent

Do I have to have Wi-Fi to use the H2alO system?

Wi-Fi is not needed for the H2alO System to operate, however without it, you are not able to receive notifications on your phone.

What are the best locations for placing the smart sensors?

Smart Sensors should be located under each fixture or appliance where there is a water connection such as: Sinks, Toilets, Tubs, Showers, Hot Water Heater, Air Handlers, Refrigerators, Dishwasher, Ice Maker, and Washing Machines.

Can H2alO measure water flow?

Yes. That is an option that we offer as an add on

Can H2alO measure temperature and humidity?

Yes. That is an option that we offer as an add on

Can H2alO automatically shut-off a/c units in a high-rise?

Yes. That is an option that we offer as an add on

What happens if there is a false alarm?

H2alo does not have false alarms. In a matter of seconds, the Smart Sensors detect, analyze and confirm a leak before shutting off the water and sending notifications

How many sensors should I have in my home?

The Average 3 Bedroom/2 Bathroom Home will require 10 – 12 Sensors.

Are additional sensors available for purchase separately?

Sensors can be added at any time and would require simple programming to interact with the receiver. 64 sensors can be used for one receiver.

How big are the sensors?

The Sensors are 4’’ long X 1 ¾ ‘’ wide and 1 ‘’ tall.

How many phone numbers/ e-mail address can be notified?

You can program the H2alO Solution to notify up to 6 people.

How long will the batteries last? Are they special batteries?

The H2alO Smart Sensors require three Standard AAA batteries each and will last up to three years. A low battery beep will alert you approximately 2 months prior to having to replace them.

If I have a leak and the sensors get wet, do I need to replace them?

Sensors can be dried off and reused over and over again.

What happens if my electricity goes out?

The H2alO System will continue to operate for 80 hours in a power outage which is longer than any other system on the market.

If I move, can I take the system with me?

Your H2alO System is a big selling point and the new buyer would want to keep it, let them have the old one and get a new one for your new home!

How do I find out about the insurance savings?

Contact your insurance agent directly, if they need more information we would be glad to talk to them, if they don’t offer a discount, it may be time to look for a new insurance company!

How easy is the system to install?

Anyone can place or replace the Smart Sensors. We use professional installers to ensure that the plumbing work and the receiver set up are done right.

Can the system be installed outside?

The H2alO Shutoff Valve will work in both indoor and outdoor applications.

What is the annual cost to maintain or operate the H2alO System?

The H2alO System can cost as little as the price of 3 AAA Batteries very 3 years.

Can H2alO be integrated with my Home Security System?

Yes, H2alO comes with auxiliary contacts and can be wired into your existing home security system with simple low voltage wiring (wiring not included). Please consult your security system manual or installation professional for details on product integration.

Is the blue, low battery light supposed to be lit on the H2alO Receiver?

Yes, when the Blue “Battery Fail” light is on but dim, the battery is fine. If the battery would fail, the blue light would glow brightly.
